“Mann Ki Baat” accelerate the process to turn water conservation in to a mass movement – Devendra Fadnavis

Nagpur, 30: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis heard the program of “Mann Ki Baat” of Narendra Modi this morning at Ramgiri. The main thing that today was the first program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after becoming the Prime Minister for the second time. In this address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed the need to turn water conservation in to a mass movement as there is need to educate people about water conservation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has interacted with the people of the country through the program of Mann Ki Baat and appealed to all the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat of the country by writing letters about water conservation and water storage as well as ‘Jalyukta Shivar scheme’. Sarpanch and people gave huge response by giving voluntary work for water conservation and promised to save water.

Due to the large number of people participation in the work through the ‘Jalyukta Shivar’ campaign in Maharashtra, it has helped to solve the problem of drinking water in addition to sustainable irrigation. Continuous and effective implementation of this project has been on going since last five years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has combined all the departments related to water and has started an independent water supply ministry. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence that the people of the state will definitely fulfill the appeal made by the Prime Minister to the people.
