Manthan 2022 – Banking, Financial Services and Insurance Conclave at SIBM Pune
Pune, 17th July 2022: SIBM Pune hosted industry stalwarts as a part of their BFSI conclave – Manthan 2022 titled ‘BFSI Spectrum: The New Economic Order’. This was held on 9th July 2022 and 10th July 2022.
On the first day, the conclave covered a gamut of sessions on topics such as Growth in uncertain economies, Neo Banking, Financial inclusion, and growth.
On Day 1 the students pursuing their MBA had an opportunity to gather insights, by being an audience to keynote sessions by Ms. Shivali Chakravthi, Senior Vice President – Marsh Operations, Marsh McLennan, Mr. Prasad Borkar, Senior Vice President, HDFC Bank, Mr. Vandan Pathak, Vice President, HDFC Bank and Mr. Alok Kedia, Country Head, IndusInd Bank.
The panel discussions included Mr. Prashanth Narayan, Chief Technology Officer and Head Payments & Lending Business, Novopay and Mr. Amit Khandelwal, Director- Financial Products, Clear in a session moderated by Dr. Santosh Gopalkrishnan, Assistant Professor – Finance, SIBM Pune.
The Day 2 was a deep dive into the future of finance where thought leaders opined on Investment Banking, InsurTech, Risk management and Impact of technology on the Insurance Industry. Panel discussions served as a conducive platform for erudite exchanges amongst industry professionals such as Mr. Ajit Deshmukh, Managing Director & Co-head Investment Banking, Equirus Capital. Ms. Deepti Rao, Managing Director, Goldman Sachs, Mr. Shailendra Kothavale, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Mr. Mahinder Seth, Vice President & Regional Head, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Ms. Priyanka Arora, Assistant Vice President, Max Life Insurance, Major Shubhra Agarwal, Vice President, State Street Corporation, Mr. Saurav Kumar, Vice President, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, Mr. Amit Jain, Group Head – South & East Region, Axis Bank, Mr. Manu Sharma, Assistant Vice President, Swiss Re, Mr. Devendra Dariya, Head of Product, Cover Stack, Coverfox Insurance.
Keynote sessions by Mr. Swami Nathan, Executive Vice President, TATA AIA Life Insurance, and Mr. Nitin Rao, Chief Executive Officer, InCred Wealth helped the students get a good idea about the direction in which the domain is headed.
