Marriage, Sub Registrar offices in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad resume work from today

Pune, May 18, 2020: All the sub-registrar offices in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, outside containment zones, and the rural areas, opened today. 15 out of 27 sub-registrar offices in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad and 21 in rural areas have started functioning now. Therefore, citizens will be able to register transactions related to flats, shops, land etc.

 

The lockdown is underway in the country against the backdrop of the Coronavirus outbreak. The government has declared the situation under control in some areas. Accordingly, the District Collector has permitted to start sub registrar’s offices, Collector of Stamps offices and marriage registration offices.

 

It is important to ensure that staff and citizens do not become infected with the coronavirus. The district administration has clarified that it is mandatory to maintain social distance and use masks in these offices. Also, marriage registration office has started work which will bring relief to many who had to postpone their marriages or whose registration work was pending.

These offices have opened in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad: Haveli Sub Registrar No. 3 (Magarpatta, Hadapsar), No. 4 (Kothrud, Chandni Chowk), No. 5 (Chinchwad), No. 7 (Chandannagar), No. 10,11,23 (Photozinco Press), No. 13 (Karvenagar), No. 15 (stone), No. 16 (Sinhagad Road), No. 18,26 (Pimpri), No. 19 (Aundh), No. 20 (Ambegaon, Duttnagar), No. 21,22 (Mehendale Garage Road), No. 24 (Nigdi) and the Office of the Marriage Registration Officer (behind Photozinco Press) near Police Commissioner office, Camp.
