Pune: Free bus service for MPSC, UPSC, other competitive exam students
Pune, May 18, 2020: The decision of the Pune district administration to help the students who were stuck in the lockdown in Pune to go home has been a great relief. Registered students, those living outside containment zones, will be dropped off in their district by a free private bus. For this the help of MPSC Students Rights Association is being taken.
For the last 55 days, students studying for competitive exams in Pune have been living alone in the room. The students were demanding that they be allowed to go to their villages and that the government should provide bus facilities. The state government was bringing students from Kota and Delhi to Maharashtra, but they were angry that nothing was happening for the students in Pune.
To help these students, some organizations and political parties provided free buses. But the government made no decision. There will be a lockdown till the 31st May, so the students were helpless. Mahesh Bade and Kiran Nimbhore of MPSC Students’ Rights had followed up with the district administration to send the students home. Considering the plight of the students, District Collector Naval Kishore Ram has decided to send these students to their homes by using funds from disaster relief fund.
Bade said, “The district administration was following up to get the students to go home. Finally, with the permission of the district collector, a bus will be arranged to send the students home. We will help the district administration for this.” For more information, students should contact on 9158278484, 8484086061.
