Married Woman Tortured, Her Family Assaulted by Husband and In-Laws in Pune
Dehu Road, 4th June 2025: A married woman was physically and mentally tortured, and her parents, brother, and sister-in-law were beaten by her husband and 12 members of his family. The incident took place in Mamurdi, near Dehu Road, and a case has been registered at the Dehu Road Police Station. The complaint was filed by the woman’s brother, Ram Jalinder Shewalkar (39), a resident of Mamurdi.
A case has been registered against Sachin Kalappa Gahale (36), Mahananda Rohidas Bansode (52), Swapnil Kalappa Gahale (34), Amar Shrishail Gahale (30), Avinash Rohidas Bansode (24), Rupesh Shivlal Gahale (30), Abhishek Shrishail Gahale (21), all residents of Gulbarga, Karnataka, along with four to five other individuals.
According to police reports, Sachin Gahale, the complainant’s brother-in-law and the victim’s husband, along with other family members, tortured the woman. Due to an old dispute, the complainant, his parents, and his wife were assaulted with bare hands and iron rods. The complainant and his father sustained injuries in the attack. The Dehu Road Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
