Masala King Dhananjay Datar Hosts Star-Studded Wedding Celebrations for Son Rohit, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Sonu Nigam
Mumbai, 25th June 2026: Masala King Dhananjay Datar and his wife Vandana hosted a grand two-day wedding celebration for their son, Rohit Datar, with Saniya Narawade, at the iconic Fairmont Hotel, Mumbai, on 23rd and 24th June 2026. The star-studded evenings brought together family, friends, and well-wishers to bless the couple as they embarked on a new chapter in their lives.
The sangeet night on 23rd June kicked off with popular comedians Krushna Abhishek and Rajiv Thakur warming up the crowd with their trademark humor, setting the stage for the evening’s biggest surprise: superstar Shah Rukh Khan. King Khan had the entire gathering in raptures, dancing with effortless charisma, regaling guests with his iconic dialogues, and sharing playful romance tips with the newlyweds-to-be. He took to the floor with Rohit and Saniya, and later with the Datar family, leaving every guest charmed – and wanting more by the time the night wound down. It was a treat watching King Khan warmly hug the Masala King, followed by the entire family dancing with him, on his chartbuster number – Dekho dekho hai shaam badi deewani …om shanti om, before he signed off for the evening!

The celebrations continued into the reception on 24th June with a spectacular musical evening featuring renowned singers Sonu Nigam, whose performance created an electrifying atmosphere through the night. Among the evening’s most heartwarming moments was the groom’s mother, Vandana, taking the mike, and crooning the popular song with Sonu Nigam – ‘Tere haath mein, mera haath ho’, her joy and excitement lighting up the celebration.
Saniya’s parents, Seema and Kumar Narawade, warmly welcomed family and friends throughout the festivities. Rohit’s elder brother, Hrishikesh, and his wife Akanksha, also joined in wholeheartedly, dancing and sharing in the joy of the occasion alongside the rest of the family.
Both evenings concluded with guests indulging in a delicious spread of gourmet cuisine, rounding off a truly memorable celebration of love, music, and togetherness.
