Mask, PPE kit kiosk set up at Pune railway station

Pune July 22, 2020: The Pune Railway Division has been continuously making the passengers aware to prevent the infection of COVID-19. A kiosk has been set up at the platform number one of the Pune railway station for the availability of health safety-related items for the passengers.

“Arrangements have been made to provide masks, sanitizers, hand gloves, face shields, personal protection equipment (PPE0 kits etc. to the passengers at reasonable prices. With the aim of providing convenience to the passengers, it has been set up in a very short time with the efforts of senior Divisional Commercial Manager Sunil Mishra and other officers and employees of other departments under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Renu Sharma,” said Manoj Jhawar, spokesperson of Pune Railway Division.

“At present, Pune-Danapur special train is running from Pune station. Six pairs of other trains are also passing through Pune. In such a situation, passengers are satisfied with the availability of protective items of COVID-19 at the Pune station and they are also taking advantage of it. In a view of the needs of passengers, another kiosk is being installed near the Reservation Office by the railway administration and the work is under progress”, said Jhawar.
