Pune, 10th June 2022: The country’s largest luxury carmaker MercedesBenz today launched the muchawaited super sports car the AMG GT Black Series, the most powerful AMG ever. The new AMG GT Black Series highlights MercedesBenz’s rich tradition in motorsports, as well as its expertise in consistent technology transfer from motorsport to series production cars.

Over the years, the Black Series models have built a reputation as the most exclusive automotive rarities that can do significant laptimes on a racetrack and are approved for roads. The newest edition to the Black Series family features the most powerful V8 engine of all time and the most expressive design, the most intelligent material mix, the most sophisticated aerodynamics, and the most distinctive driving dynamics.

The AMG GT Black Series has a V8 engine with a flat crankshaft that develops 537 kW (730 hp) at 67006900 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 800Nm available at 20006000 rpm. The V8 lends the car a completely independent character and enables a particularly impressive performance: the twodoor vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and 0 to 200 km/h in under 9 seconds with a top speed of 325 km/h.
