MLA Tingre Demands BRT Route To Be Opened For Private Vehicles Owing To Traffic In Pune
Pune, 1st November 2022: The problem of traffic congestion on city roads has become very serious. Sunil Tingre, MLA of Wadgaon Sheri constituency, has demanded that Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar open the direct BRT route for private vehicles as the current road is becoming inadequate.
The BRT project on the Yerwada to Kharadi route is adding to this traffic jam and is constantly causing accidents. Therefore, to relieve the citizens of Wadgaon Sheri Constituency from traffic congestion on city roads, BRT lanes should be removed immediately. MLA Tingre has taken the stand that if the administration can’t remove this route immediately, private vehicles should be allowed to enter through the BRT route as well.
MLA Tingre said, “There is a huge traffic jam on the city roads every day. Since the BRT route is causing problems, our stand is that this route should be removed, and this space should be made available for private vehicles.”
A demand in this regard was made to Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar. On this occasion, the commissioner said that along with planning urgent measures to solve the traffic congestion on city roads, immediate action will be taken to allow access to private vehicles through the BRT route.
