Modi-Trump Meeting on February 13: Strengthening India-U.S. Ties

New Delhi, 10th February 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his anticipation for a meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump, recalling their collaboration during Trump’s first term.

“I am eager to meet my friend, President Trump. This will be our first meeting since his historic electoral victory and inauguration in January. I fondly remember our work together in his first term, strengthening the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between India and the U.S.,” PM Modi stated before his departure.

He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration, saying, “We will work together for the mutual benefit of our nations and contribute to shaping a better future for the world.”

During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold delegation-level discussions with Trump and engage with business leaders and the Indian diaspora on February 13.

Before heading to the U.S., PM Modi will visit France at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron to participate in an AI Summit on February 10 and 11, followed by a bilateral meeting.

“In France, I will be attending the AI Action Summit, where India is a co-chair. I will also hold discussions with President Macron to further strengthen India-France ties. Additionally, we will travel to Marseille to inaugurate a new Indian Consulate,” PM Modi shared on X.

His visit will also include a review of the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for the India-France strategic partnership. Furthermore, he will tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project, a global initiative involving India and France aimed at advancing sustainable energy solutions.

PM Modi will also pay tribute to Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I and II at the Mazargues War Cemetery in France.
