More Than 4.32 Lakh Ganpati Idols Immersed In Mobile Tanks In Pune

Pune, 20th September 2021: As many as 4 lakh 32 thousand 548 household Ganpati Bappas in Pune city were immersed in mobile tanks. Apart from that, 3 thousand 493 Ganashotsav Mandals have immersed idols in the tanks around the mandap, Pune Police said.

From the arrival of Bappa to immersion, the police had emphasized more security including patrolling. Therefore, the police have claimed that no major untoward incident took place.

Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta and Joint Commissioner Ravindra Shisve had held discussions with major Ganesh Mandals of the city. Accordingly, the festival was celebrated as per the guidelines issued by the Maharashtra state government.

Immersion of all five ‘manache’ (revered) Ganapatis and important mandals were immersed in the city between 11.21 am and 6.38 pm on Sunday.
