MPSC Issues Strict Guidelines To Conduct Examinations Amidst COVID19 Pandemic

Pune, September 17, 2020: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has issued a strict advisory to all the applicants appearing for the examination, in face of the prevailing Coronavirus situation. The examinees have been instructed to follow the guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The examinees need to wear a three-layered cloth face mask, and a kit consisting of mask, hand gloves and sanitiser will be provided to them on entry. The kit must be used by the candidates throughout the examination, in both sessions. They must also sanitise their hands regularly throughout. In case any of the candidates have any symptoms like cold, cough, fever, etc., they must tell the supervisors before the examination. Candidates must bring their water bottle, snacks and lunch box. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall in between the two sessions, and they will be prohibited from using each other’s pen or any other material. All the candidates also need to download the Arogya Setu app in their mobile phones.

In case those whose original centres lie within containment zones are assigned new exam centres, the same will be notified on the MPSC website. The concerned candidates will also be informed of this on their registered contact numbers. Even before and after the examination, the candidates need to maintain social distancing at the centres, and also dispose of their used tissue papers, masks, gloves, etc. in the dustbins at the centres before leaving. MPSC has appealed to the candidates to follow all the protocol as directed by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
