MTDC Received 117 Applications In Pune Division From Hotels For Industrial Status
Pune, 26th June 2021: Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) received 117 applications in the Pune division from hotels that applied for industrial status. The applications will be reviewed within a month and certificates will be distributed after that said a senior official from MTDC.
The hotels occupational demanded industrial status for a long time. Considering this demand, the state tourism ministry urged that hotels that have not registered with the central government should apply for industrial status to get the benefits of various schemes for the industry.
This got a good response from the hotel industry and the MTDC received 117 applications to date. All the applications will be sent to the tourism directorate and there they will be reviewed. The certificates will be issued within a month.
Benefits of industrial status: Hotels that got industrial status will get concessions in various taxes. To get this benefit one can apply on www.MaharashtraTourism. gov. in
The water bill, electricity supply bill, property tax, development tax, FSI and non-agricultural taxes will be charged as per industrial standards said the official.
