Mumbai, September 8, 2020: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a stop-work notice a day after the raid on Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s office. This notice has been issued under Section 354/A of the Municipal Act. The notice was put up at the Pali Hill office gate today morning.

Kangana shared the photo of the notice with a Twitter account and with this, she wrote that due to the criticism received from my friends on social media, the people of BMC did not bring bulldozers with them. Instead, they issued a notice to stop the leakage work going on in the office. Kangana further says that friends I have put a lot at stake, but I get a lot of love and support from all of you.

Kangana Ranaut’s film production company, Manikarnika Films, has a plush office located in Pali Hill, one of Mumbai’s most expensive residential areas. Bungalow No. 5 has been converted into an office at a cost of about Rs 48 crores. The interior decoration of the office is quite impressive. On Monday, a BMC team reached Kangna’s office, the actress had given information about it on Twitter. Kangana feared that the BMC team might demolish her office structure. She also posted a video of the team.

Kangana wrote that she has all the necessary documents and nothing illegal has been done. BMC should have given notice with a structure plan to show illegal construction. Today they have raided my office without notice, tomorrow they will demolish the entire structure, she said.
