Mumbai: Central Railways Anti Tout Squad, Mumbai Division strikes again – 67 e-tickets worth 1.13 lakh rupees seized

Mumbai, 15 January 2021: In continuation of its operation against touts, the Anti Tout Squad, Mumbai Division, Central Railway with the help of RPF has struck again.

 

After its successful anti-tout operation in December-2020, the ATS team of Central Railway has begun the new year with yet another successful raid on 14th January 2021.

 

The ATS team along with the RPF organised a raid at the Sewri-Reay Road section and nabbed 5 touts with 67 e-tickets worth Rs. 1,13,216/-

Rajmal Jain with 31 tickets worth Rs.46,506/-, Babul Mian with 10 tickets worth Rs.20,173/-, Sharif Pathan & Rizwan with 25 tickets worth Rs.44,917/- and Sanjay Gupta with 1 tatkal ticket worth Rs.1620/- were apprehended during the raid and handed over to Railway Protection Force, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus for further prosecution.

 

Central Railway appeals to the passengers travel with proper and valid railway tickets and to purchase their tickets from authorized agents or from Computerised Reservation Centres or book them online on website www.irctc.co.in. in order to avoid inconvenience and travel with dignity.
