Mumbai, September 22, 2020: On September 9, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and her 14-days judicial custody was going to end today. However, the Sessions Court has extended her custody.
Today via video conferencing, she was presented before the judge and after the hearing from both the sides, the Sessions Court extended the custody till 6th October.
Along with Rhea Chakraborty, the judicial custody of Showik Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s staff members- Samuel Miranda and Deepak Sawant have also extended till October 6.
Advocate Satish Manshinde said that before the hearing in the Sessions Court, Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty also filed an application for bail in the Bombay High Court in the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case. The hearing of the bail application will be held on 23rd September before the judge Sarang V Kotwal.
