Mumbai: Shiv Sena Leader and Former Chief Minister Manohar Joshi Passes Away at 86

Mumbai, 23rd February 2024: Senior Shiv Sena leader and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Manohar Joshi, has passed away. He breathed his last on February 23rd at 3:02 AM in Hinduja Hospital at the age of 86.

He had been admitted to Hinduja Hospital on February 21 due to feeling unwell, where he was diagnosed with a heart attack and received treatment in the intensive care unit. The funeral service will take place at his current residence near Ruparel College, Matunga West, from 11 am to 2 pm, with the funeral procession commencing after 2 pm.

Joshi will be cremated at Dadar Crematorium with state honours. He valiantly overcame a significant illness in May 2023.

Previously, Joshi had suffered from a brain haemorrhage, with the hospital administration confirming bleeding in his brain. At that time, he underwent treatment in the hospital for nearly a month and was subsequently discharged. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday due to a heart attack, where he passed away.
