Pune, 2nd June 2026: The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will launch its ‘Kranti Mahamorcha’ in support of onion growers on the Pune-Nashik Highway at Nandi Maharaj Chowk in Tambademala, Bhorwadi in Manchar on Monday.
Several senior opposition leaders are expected to participate in the march, including Maharashtra Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal, NCP (SP) state president Shashikant Shinde, MLA Rohit Pawar, and MP Amol Kolhe.
In view of the gathering and security concerns, a heavy police deployment has been stationed at the protest site. Meanwhile, raids and enforcement actions by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are reportedly being conducted at various locations.
The political atmosphere in Maharashtra remains charged amid disagreements within both the Mahayuti alliance and the Maha Vikas Aghadi over Legislative Council nominations. Efforts are underway within the alliances to address dissatisfaction among leaders and prevent further complications.
