Nashik: Private Bus And Truck Collide On Sinner-Shirdi Highway, 10 Passengers Die And 34 Injured

Nashik, 13th January 2023: A private bus and a truck collided head-on today (January 13) on the Sinnar-Shirdi highway. After that, the private bus overturned on the road. 10 people died in this accident – six women, two men, and two children. The accident took place around 6.00 am. The bodies of 10 people have been brought to Sinnar Rural Hospital. 34 people were injured in this accident and they are being treated in various private hospitals in Sinnar.

The horrific accident took place near the arch of the Ishaneshwar temple in Pathare Shivara on the Shirdi highway. A private bus from Guide Company was leaving for Shirdi from Ambernath, Ulhasnagar area around 11.30 pm with around 50 passengers. An accident involving a bus and a truck took place on the Shirdi highway after Wavi village.

Most passengers on the bus are seriously injured. There was a huge traffic jam at the spot. Seven to eight ambulances were rushed to provide medical care to the patients. Assistant Police Inspector Sagar Kote along with a team of Wavi Police station also reached the spot. The local citizens carried out massive relief work and admitted the injured to the hospital.

Names of the deceased persons in the accident are Pramila Prakash Gandhari (45), Vaishali Naresh Ubale (32), Shravani Suhas Barskar (30), Shraddha Suhas Barskar (4), Naresh Manohar Ubale (38), all are the residents of Ambernath. Balaji Krishna Mohanty (25), a driver of the said bua, Diksha Santosh Ghandari (18), a resident of Kalyan along with other three passengers who have not yet been identified.
