NBHC won the One Globe Award for Excellence in Enabling a Digital Economy, a category that recognises company’s focus on ideas to transform India into a 21st century knowledge economy. For a company to win this award, it should have created an app, website, intranet, e-learning platform, game, multimedia channel or any other digital ecosystem that is helping build a knowledge economy, in English or a local Indian language.

NBHC has developed an innovative app that is used by field supervisors who remains our ‘feet on street’, to digitize inward and outward movement of goods. The aim of the app was not only to digitize the existing line of NBHC business but also provide operational efficiency and a much leaner turnaround time to business. This procedure was earlier done manually and was a tedious and elongated process.

The app is available in English language and works in offline mode where internet facilities are a concern. NBHC ensures that its employees are provided training modules to understand the app functioning enabling proper digitize inward and outward movement of goods.

On receiving the recognition, Mr. Nirvan Biswas – Chief Technology Officer, NBHC said, “We are immensely pleased to have added one more feather to our cap. This Award is in recognition of our continued commitment to apply technology to its best use and in turn enable proper functioning of all the processes which will benefit the entire value chain. Through this app we have moved one step further to technology advancement in our organisation and wish to bring better quality, faster service, proximity and delight to our stakeholders. We are constantly working towards delivering a better work place for our employees, to make the processes easy and fast.”

The newly developed App provides real-time information by capturing inward transactions from the point of activity and immediately hits the server with updated details. Information on dashboard enables team to track real-time movement of the entry leading to a decreased turn-around-time, thereby encouraging a paperless environment.
