NDA Chowk Altercation: Tempo And PMPML Bus Drivers Clash In Pune

Pune, 3rd September 2023: A heated altercation between a tempo driver and a PMPML bus driver took place in front of Ved Bhavan at NDA Chowk (Chandni Chowk). Both parties have lodged complaints against each other.

Bus conductor Saadhan Pandurang Deokar, a resident of Ambernath, filed a complaint at the Warje police station. Subsequently, a case was registered against 36-year-old tempo driver Ramakant Rajaram Kadam from Karvenagar. According to the police, the PMPML bus was en route to NDA Chowk from the Ved Bhavan area on a Friday afternoon.

The tempo driver attempted to overtake the bus, leading to a verbal dispute between him and the bus driver, Sunil Dhide. The situation escalated, resulting in Deokar being struck on the head with an iron rod. Ramakant Yadav, the tempo driver, also filed a complaint, alleging that the bus driver had tried to overtake. Dhide and Deokar then allegedly attacked Yadav with a rod. Consequently, both Dhide and Devkar are facing legal consequences, with cases filed against them.
