National Sanskrit Day Celebrations At Deccan College Pune

Pune, 3rd September 2023: Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute, Department of Sanskrit and Lexicography, is gearing up to celebrate National Sanskrit Day on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. The institute has planned a special program for this occasion, featuring a screening of selected films from Sanskrit Bharati Award winners as part of the Sanskrit Short Film Competition.

The event will be graced by the presence of Deccan College Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pramod Pandey, who will preside over the program. Neelima Patwardhan, Program Officer of Pune Akashvani, will be the chief guest and deliver a special lecture on ‘Sanskrit and Broadcasting Media.’

The Head of the Department and Vice-Chancellor of Deccan College, Prof. Prasad Joshi, along with all the teachers and students from the department, will actively participate in this celebration. The program will take place at the Graduation Hall, Department of Ancient Indian and Archaeology, Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute, Deemed University, Yerwada, Pune, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

This event is open to all Sanskrit enthusiasts. Dr. Vrishali Bhosle, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit and Lexicography at Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute, is the coordinator for the program.
