Nearly Two Lakh Seats Vacant For Class XI Admission In Junior Colleges In Maharashtra
Pune, 26th October 2021: About three lakh 66 thousand 69 students have been admitted in the Maharashtra state under the online admission process of class XI. As many as one lakh 69 thousand 689 seats are still vacant. The highest number of seats in the state is 91,514 in Mumbai, followed by 40,210 in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has directed that the 11th admission process should be completed by October 31 in the state. Accordingly, the eleventh admission process is currently in its final stages. Central online admission process was implemented for 5 lakh 35 thousand 750 seats in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati Municipal Corporation. So far three lakh 66 thousand 069 students have secured admission in these seats. Under the admission process, the highest number of admissions so far has been in Mumbai at two lakh 30 thousand 106. After that 73 thousand 115 students have taken admission in Pune.
The ‘Special First Arrival First Priority Round (FCFS)’ in the admission process is underway. In this round, students will be able to participate in the admission process by filling up the online admission form by Saturday (30th). Also, the state’s secondary and higher secondary education department has clarified that the admission has to be confirmed by October 30 after receiving the allotment through the concerned college.
