Framework 1

Exam reform through dialogue

On behalf of Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Examination Reform Committee, a ‘dialogue yatra’ will be organized in the next three months by visiting the principals of 900 colleges. Rajesh Pandey, chairman of the examination reform committee, said a report would be submitted on the issues raised through the discussion.

Framework 2

key points from the discussion

-The teachers who teach should also evaluate the students.
– Public universities should produce thousands of experts with questioning skills.

– Just as education is a continuous process, evaluation should also be continuous.

– Instead of taking exams for millions of students at the same time, there should be exams of the same difficulty in stages.

– There should be decentralization of educational institutions.

– Examinations and assessment experiments like Open Book Exam, Adaptive Exam, Take-Home Exam should be conducted in education.
