Need active participation of women in financial matters: Krishna Prakash

Pimpri Chinchwad, 11th March 2021: “Women should actively participate in the decision making regarding financial matters. And this should happen across all the sectors. Then, only we can say that the country is taking steps towards development in its true sense”, said Krishna Prakash, Pimpri Chinchwad police commissioner.

He was speaking at the distribution of ‘Yashaswini award’, to successful women from different fields. The programme was organised on the backdrop of recently celebrated ‘International Womens’ Day’. Eight women from were felicitated on the occasion by given them the award.

“Women have made their mark in various sectors. But earlier the entire world failed to recognise them and thus they were given secondary place in the societal ladder. But now, they have proved their mettle”, Krishna Prakash mentioned. He also recited a few Urdu gazals and poems on the occasion.

The women who won the award included Om Namo Parivartan group head (Ayurvedacharya) Dr Vaishali Lodha, Advocate Vijaylakshmi Khopde, Human Resource officer Kavita Kalikar, Industrial Relation officer Hemangi Dhokate, 2019 Beauty Pageant winner Sarika Kulkarni, Pune Metro Underground only woman engineer Shivani Pawar, Memory coach and NALP master Archana Doba and Aryogam Yoga institute head Mugdha Sardeshpande.

The prorgamme was jointly organised by Yashaswi Education Society’s International Institute of Management Science and Kalptaru Events. Dipti Shekhawat of Kalptaru Events was the host for the programme while Yashaswi Academy for Skills dean Dr Sunita Patil proposed vote of thanks.

The programme was coordinated by Yogesh Rangnekar while Pawan Sharma, Sandeep Gejge, Abhijeet Chavan, Shayam Waychal and Dnyneshwar Gofan took efforts for the programme.
