Need to accelerate development work in Naxal affected areas : Fadnavis

Mumbai, 24.July.19: A meeting of Unified Command Mechanism regarding the national schemes and action plans to be set up in Naxal-affected area, was held at Sahyadri Guest house under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

 

At this time, the Chief Minister made useful suggestions to speed up the work of various schemes in the Naxal-affected area.

 

Naxal-hit Gadchiroli, Gondia district, roads, bridges, mobile networks, education, health and various other issues were reviewed at this time. The honorable Chief Minister also gave instructions for speeding up the work related to these issues and administrative work. He ordered to complete all these works in a timely manner.

 

“Police officers from Naxal-affected areas should be transferred to another district after the completion of two years. Transfer order must be given to them at the time of their joining in this area. So they would work efficiently as they would be relocated after completing their tenure in the district” stated Mr. Fadnavis.

 

Principal Secretary Ajay Mehta, Additional Secretary of Home Department, Sanjay Kumar, Director General of Police Subodh Jaiswal, Gadchiroli District Collector Shekhar Singh, Gondiya District Collector Kadambari Balakwade, Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police Shailesh Balkwade were present on the occasion.
