NEET PG 2025 to Be Held on August 3; Centre Preference Window Opens June 13

New Delhi, 10th June 2025: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the NEET PG 2025 exam will now be conducted on August 3, following a Supreme Court directive to hold the exam in a single session instead of two.
The change came after students approached the apex court, highlighting confusion caused by varying percentiles in multiple exam sessions. In compliance with the court’s order, NBEMS has expanded the number of exam cities to accommodate all candidates in one session.
The exam centre preference window will be open from June 13 (3 PM) to June 17 (11:55 PM). All candidates must reapply to select their preferred examination city. Allocation will be made on a first-come, first-preference basis, the board clarified.
Students will be able to edit their applications between June 20 and 22, except for fields such as name, nationality, email ID, mobile number, and examination city. NBEMS will release the exam venue details on July 21, while the admit cards will be available on July 31. The result is scheduled to be declared on September 3.
NBEMS has assured that all efforts will be made to assign centres based on students’ preferences. However, if slots are unavailable in a selected state due to administrative constraints, candidates may be allotted centres in other states.
For students from states without exam centres, NBEMS has advised selecting a nearby city in a different state. All information and updates will be available on the official NBEMS website.
This single-session move aims to ensure fairness and reduce confusion among postgraduate medical aspirants, ensuring a uniform evaluation process for all.
