Nepal Floods: Maharashtra Government Issues Helpline Numbers for Stranded Citizens
Mumbai, 26th August 2026: The Maharashtra government has issued helpline numbers and an online registration facility for citizens and tourists from the state who may be stranded in Nepal amid severe flooding in the Rasuwa district.
The flooding of the Bhote Koshi River has severely disrupted normal life in the area, with several tourists from different countries and Indian states reportedly stranded, according to the Maharashtra State Disaster Management Authority (MSDMA).
To collect information about Maharashtra residents stranded in Nepal and facilitate timely assistance, the Maharashtra State Disaster Management Authority, Ministry, Mumbai, has provided an online form where details of affected citizens can be submitted.
