Pune, 25th May 2024: The OTT platform Netflix has surged ahead in the realm of Hindi films and web series, amassing over 100 crore views in the last six months. Fans eagerly anticipate Hindi film releases on Netflix, which generate buzz both in theaters and on the OTT platform. Some movies debut exclusively on Netflix, captivating audiences worldwide. Recent reports reveal that Hindi films and web series have broken viewership records on Netflix. Leading the charge is Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Jaan-e-Jaan,’ becoming the first movie to surpass 20.2 million views globally, ranked at 83. Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ follows closely with 16.2 million views, ranked 120. ‘Khufiya’ secured the 192nd rank with 12.1 million views. Additionally, the anthology films ‘Last Stories 2,’ ‘Oh My God 2,’ ‘Carrie,’ ‘Cyanide,’ and Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl 2’ have garnered significant attention. In the realm of web series, ‘The Railway Man’ ranks 139th with 10.6 million views, while ‘Kohra Season 1’ and ‘Guns and Roses’ tie at 6.4 million views, ranked 267. ‘Black Water’ secures the 307th rank with 5.8 million views. This surge in viewership underscores the success of Hindi content on Netflix, solidifying its position as a dominant force in the OTT landscape.
