47 new Coronavirus positive patients confirmed in Maharashtra, tally reaches 537 now

Mumbai, April 4, 2020: According to Maharashtra Health Department, 47 new Coronavirus positive patients have been confirmed in the state on Saturday. Of which 28 cases are from Mumbai, 15 from Thane, one from Amravati, two from Pune and one in Pimpri Chinchwad. The number of COVID19 patients has now increased to 537 in the state.

Eleven Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel posted at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai have also been found Coronavirus positive, and they are admitted to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Navi Mumbai for treatment. It is worth mentioning that 139 CRPF personnel and 12 other employees of the CRPF, who came to Navi Mumbai on Thursday, were found to be Coronavirus positive.

A third Coronavirus positive patient was also confirmed on Friday in Dharavi, Mumbai. Here a 35-year-old doctor was found Coronavirus infected. After the report turned positive, the entire family of the doctor was kept in quarantine. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is trying to locate people exposed to the Corona infected doctor. The doctor’s house is sealed.

On Thursday second Coronavirus positive case was reported in Dharavi. The 52-year-old man lived in Worli but came to Dharavi for duty. 23 people, including family members of this man, have been kept in quarantine.
