New COVID-19 cases in India rise by 5,880

Delhi, 10th April 2023: India continues to make progress in its nationwide vaccination drive, with over 220 crore vaccine doses administered to date. Of these, 95.21 crore have been second doses, and 22.87 crore have been precaution doses.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 205 vaccine doses were administered across the country. The active caseload currently stands at 35,199, which represents only 0.08% of the total cases.

The recovery rate in India is currently at 98.73%, with 3,481 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,41,96,318. Meanwhile, 5,880 new cases were recorded in the same period, with a daily positivity rate of 6.91% and a weekly positivity rate of 3.67%.

The total number of tests conducted in India stands at 92.28 crore, with 85,076 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. These figures demonstrate the continued efforts being made in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
