Appoints super stockist and announces expansion plans in Maharashtra

Pune, Thursday May 5, 2016: ‘New Thapar Food Products’ established in the year 1952, located in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra is a Namkeen specialist company. They have been in the business for nearly sixty years and have been flourishing over the years. A business started initially in the fifty’s and in the early ninety’s the second generation took over the reigns – Sanjeev and Rajeev Thapar , they have successfully managed to let the business bloom under the able guidance of their seniors.

In the quest to expand and grow the business, they through R & D, created customized machinery to bring in automation in the production. The company has also appointed Poojara Consultants (India) Ltd (PCIL) as their consultants to support them to grow their turnover by 400%.

PCIL has designed the System of operations for their pan India growth, as first step finalized the terms with Raka Traders as their Super stockist for Maharashtra.

Raka traders will have about three offices to cover Rest of Maharashtra , Mumbai and Vidharba.

The company announced the launch of their operations in Pune and introduced their Maharashtra super stockist Rakesh Bajaj (Raka Traders).  By doing so, they will be targeting 40-45 distributors in the State.

Speaking at the occasion, Rajeev Thapar, Partner – New Thapar Food Products said,” At present, Thapar foods are supplying to all the leading star properties in the state of Maharashtra and a few “A” category retail outlets. The current factory  setup has the capacity of manufacturing 160 MT of product per month which is carried out with the aid of a well trained and dedicated team comprising of 30 members. By appointing a super-stockist, we have taken the first step towards the direction of our growth and we hope to expand and achieve our targets.” He further added.

The product range comprises of mainly- Farsaan, Dal Moth, Khata Mittha, Special Poha Chiwda, Cone Chiwda, Potato Chiwda, Masala Shev, Garlic Shev, and several other namkeen treats which are extremely popular and a favorite amongst many! Their mission has and always will be to provide high quality products in time and at the most reasonable price. Undoubtedly, after being in the business for so many years, they have not only developed a great rapport and goodwill with the industry but have also managed to maintain the same. It goes without saying that to keep the business going in such a competitive market is not all that much of an easy task. Moreover, having competitors like ‘Halidram, Garden Namkeen, Baba Namkeen’, makes it all the more challenging but at the same time this has been their driving force and has also made them strive and achieve for excellence.

Future objective is to continue with R and D to help enhance the quality of the end products for their customers, Stage wise increase in the production capacity and to have a robust distribution network to strengthen the relationship further more.
