NIOS 12th exams cancelled, dissatisfied candidates will get a chance to appear in the on-demand exam

New Delhi, 5th June 2021: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has cancelled the 12th exam. This decision came due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

NIOS has issued an official notification in this regard. In the letter, they have to Prioritize the safety of the students. Evaluation will be done on the basis of objective criteria, which will be announced soon. At the same time, about 1.75 lakh students will benefit from this decision.

The official notice also said that the examinees who are not satisfied with the alternative evaluation criteria will be given a chance to improve their results through an on-demand test, which will be conducted as and when the situation becomes favourable. The NIOS exam was scheduled to be held in June 2021.

Earlier, NIOS had also cancelled its class 10 examination 2021. NIOS has taken this decision after the central government’s major decision of CBSE to cancel the CBSE class 12th examination. After the cancellation of the CBSE 12th exam, many other state boards of the country and CISCE have also cancelled the class 12 exams.

The states that have cancelled the 12th exam include Odisha, Rajasthan, Haryana, Gujarat, UP Board and other boards. All these boards have set the criteria for the evaluation of the 12th examination. Based on this the results have been declared.
