Pimpri, May 11, 2020: Today was a relief for Pimpri Chinchwad city because no new Corona patient was reported. On the other hand, two persons from Moshi and Indiranagar Chinchwad station, went home from hospital after they recovered following treatment. Out of a total of 168 patients in PCMC areas, 109 have been cured while three have died till now. According to PCMC, currently, 46 patients are undergoing treatment at the municipal hospitals.

One 35-year-old woman and one 55-year-old man from Nana Peth and Kasba Peth in Pune tested positive today. They are admitted in YCM hospital. Also, a man who was resident of Bhavani Peth, Pune, and was undergoing treatment here died today. He was also admitted in YCM hospital in Pimpri.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Pathak, Principal Secretary, State Urban Development Department, inspected the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation War Room today and reviewed the measures being taken by the PCMC to control the spread of Coronavirus. PCMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar briefed him about the steps being taken.

In Pune, till 9 pm today, 91 new Coronavirus patients were reported in areas under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) taking the total tally to 2573. Also, 5 patients died while 69 were discharged from hospitals. According to PMC, out of total 2573 patients, 1089 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 149 have died. There are still 1335 active admitted in hospitals. 98 patients are critical and 19 of them are with ventilator support.

As per the Maharashtra health department report which was prepared a few hours before the PMC report came, there were 1230 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state taking the total tally of COVID-19 positive patients to 23,401. 4786 patients have been discharged till date after full recovery.
