112 new COVID patients in last 24 hours in Pune district, total 2969 now

Pune, May 11, 2020: As per the report released by Pune district health officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, 112 new Coronavirus positive patients have been detected in Pune district today taking the total tally to 2969. Out of this 1240 have been cured and sent home from hospitals, while 161 have lost their lives. There are still 1568 patients admitted to hospitals including 106 critical patients.
Pune district patients include those from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Cantonment Boards in Khadki, Pune and Dehuroad, and Pune rural (Zilha Parishad).
Meanwhile, across Maharashtra, as many as 1230 new cases of the coronavirus positive patients were reported taking the state tally to 23,401, said Health Minister Rajesh Tope. Today, 36 patients died in the state. Of the deaths, 20 were in Mumbai, three in Pune, five in Solapur, two in Thane, two in Amravati, Aurangabad, Nanded, Ratnagiri and Wardha. Apart from this, the death of a man from Uttar Pradesh has taken place in Mumbai. 868 people have died in the state so far. Today, 587 COVID patients were discharged.
Of the 2 lakh 18 thousand 917 samples sent to the laboratories till date, samples of 193457 have come negative for corona; 23,401 have tested positive. At present, there are 248301 persons, in Home Quarantine in the State and 15 thousand 192 persons are in Institutional Quarantine. So far 4786 corona infected patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
Of the deaths today, 23 were men and 13 were women. 17 of them were in the age group of 60 years and above. 16 patients were in the age group of 40 to 59 years. 43 patients were under 40 years of age. Out of 36 patients, 27 had high-risk diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
