Pune, June 27, 2020: Health Minister Rajesh Tope has made a big announcement in Pune that there will be no more lockdowns in the state after Unlocking phases 2 and 3.

The state’s health minister Rajesh Tope has said that the rate of COVID-19 in Maharashtra is likely to increase in July and August. “Given this danger, we are expanding the number of ICU beds and doctors. Besides, we are not hiding the mortality rate of Covid-19 patients in the state. The number of cases has been increasing is not our concern. What concerns us is the death rate which is spiking”, stated Tope.

“After NCP chief Sharad Pawar pointed out that the patients are increasing in Pune and Solapur. Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and I are reviewing,” Tope clarified. Tope also announced that financial provision had been made for 1 lakh antigen tests that will be conducted in Mumbai and Pune.
