No Question Of NCP Allying With BJP, Clarifies Sharad Pawar A day After Secret Meeting With Ajit Pawar In Pune
Pune 14th August 2023: A day after holding a secret meeting with Ajit Pawar in Pune, Sharad Pawar has clarified that his party is not joining hands with BJP. Senior Pawar while speaking to media persons in Sangola, Solapur said that there is no question of NCP allying with BJP.
Pawar termed his meeting with Ajit in Pune as an elder member of the family meeting the other member. He said “I am the eldest person in the family and Ajit is my nephew. Hence there is nothing wrong in meeting the younger person of the family.”
It may be noted that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar held a meeting with Sharad Pawar in Pune on Friday which sparked speculations that senior Pawar is also likely to join BJP. The reports claimed that Ajit offered a berth for Supriya Sule in the central government while offering senior Pawar to join with BJP and suggested that he give Supriya and Jayant Patil permission to switch their sides. However, the reports also claimed that senior Pawar refused the deal and informed that he will continue to fight against BJP.
