Pune, 31st October 2022: Despite multiple emails exchanged between PDA Pune, OMC and Torrent Gas, there has been no commitment from Torrent Gas regarding the payment of the trade margin and its pending dues of revised trade margin with interest due to the delay caused by them.

“Torrent Gas is responsible for the losses of the dealers selling torrent CNG as they are deprived of their fair trade margin despite a circular from MOPNG which has forced the dealers to take this stand again after its one-day closure on the 1st of October,” Dhruv Ruparel, President and Working Committee for Petrol Dealers Association Pune, said. Torrent Gas has been giving offers to PDA and OMC to give part commission which is illegal and against the MOPNG circular issued dated 30/11/2021.

“Even after the completion of one year of issuing a circular by MoPNG, still Torrent Gas has not been able to give justice to their channel partners, which is making business unviable for them and has put them into tremendous losses and mental harassment,” Ruparel explained.

Having left with no choice but to resolve this issue, PDA Pune and its dealers have decided to go on an indefinite ‘NO SALE OF CNG OF TORRENT GAS ON PUMPS SITUATED IN RURAL AREAS OF PUNE’ district. “Torrent Gas is responsible for this inconvenience being caused to the general public and has total disregard for Central Ministry orders,” Ruparel said.
