Noted clinical sexologist, Dr. Shashank Samak passes away
Pune, May 15, 2020: Well-known Kamashastra expert from Pune, Dr. Shashank Dattatraya Samak (65) died of a sudden heart attack today, May 15, 2020. Dr. Samak was famous in Pune and all over Maharashtra for his medical and social contributions. His most important contribution was his scholarly treatise ‘Medical Kamashastra’.
Apart from this, he did many research papers and wrote extensively on the subject. Kamashastra is a difficult but intimate subject of social awakening and sexual intimacy.
‘Chalishi Natarche Kamjivan’ was his most popular program on television, which was liked by viewers in Pune and across Maharashtra. Smart, hardworking and funny, Dr. Samak completed his education at BJ Medical college in Pune.
He is survived by his wife (Jessica), daughter (Rasika), grandson (Ishaan) and son (Mihir) and elderly parents. Dr. Samak bid farewell amidst a large mournful family of friends and well-wishers around. As his son, Mihir could not come from abroad, Dr. Samak’s daughter, Rasika, conducted his funeral.
