Now Muslim silent rally for 5 percent reservation

Pune – To demand five percent reservation for the Muslim community, a silent march will be organised on September 9 by various sects of Muslim community and other organisations. They are also demanding safeguards against mob lynching.

The rally will start from Golibar Maidan at 10 am and conclude at the Pune divisional commissioner’s office in Camp. Some Dalit organizations also supporting this rally.

Muslim Muk Mahamorcha Coordination Committee held a press conference on Monday to make the announcement. On this occasion Anjum Inamdar, Munawwar Qureshi, Simran Qureshi, Corporator, Adv Gafoor Pathan, Altaf Shaikh, Nadeem Mujaajer, Zuber Shaikh were present.

There are five to six lakh Muslim women and men going to participate in this rally. Five thousand volunteers have been appointed to protect the participants of the rally which will start from Golibar Maidan go via Seven Loves Chowk to reach the Divisional Commissioner’s office.

On August 10, the committee was hold a meeting at 7.30 pm at General Arun Kumar Vaidya Stadium (Bhavani Peth) to discuss the preparations.
