Now you can book bus tickets online using IRCTC

New Delhi, February 6, 2021: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) on Friday announced that it has launched an online bus booking service to provide better facilities to passengers.

Now, passengers will be able to book train, flight, and bus tickets online from a single portal as the IRCTC has tied up with over 50,000 state road transport and private bus operators covering 22 states and three union territories for the same.

The online bus service went live on January 29, and passengers can now book bus tickets online through the official IRCTC bus ticket booking microsite –http://bus.irctc.co.in.

Passengers will also be able to see the route, facilities, reviews, ratings, and the picture of the bus through the portal.

“IRCTC under the leadership of Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution is gradually moving towards firmly positioning itself as the first government ‘One Stop Shop Travel Portal’ of the country,” the statement by IRCTC read.
“In a recent development for providing a more holistic travel experience to the customers, IRCTC that is already in the business of online rail and flight tickets booking launched its online bus booking services that went live for the service of the nation on 29th January 2021,” the statement further said.

How to book bus tickets using IRCTC:

> Visit the official IRCTC bus ticket microsite: http://bus.irctc.co.in.
> Enter the bus stop from where you need to depart from in the ‘depart from’ field and enter your destination in the ‘going to’ field.
> Enter the departure date or the day and click on ‘search bus’.
> Select the appropriate bus and seats.
> Then proceed to the payment and make the online payment through debit/credit cards or e-wallet.
