Nowcast Weather Alert: Thunderstorms, Gusty Winds Likely in Pune and Other Districts
Pune, 7th June 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast weather warning for several districts in Maharashtra, alerting residents to possible thunderstorms, lightning, and light rainfall accompanied by gusty winds over the next few hours.
According to the IMD’s latest bulletin released at 7:00 PM (IST), thunderstorm activity with lightning and wind speeds reaching 30–40 km/h is expected at isolated locations across the districts of Dhule, Nashik, Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Ahilyanagar, Solapur, Latur, and Dharashiv.
The weather department has advised citizens to take necessary precautions, especially while commuting or staying outdoors during the warning period, which covers the next 3 to 4 hours from the time of issue.
