NTA Extends NEET UG 2024 Application Deadline: Opportunity for Students to Apply
New Delhi, 9th April 2024: In a move aimed at providing relief to students who missed the initial application window, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the application date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2024 (NEET UG 2024). The agency’s notice issued on Monday, April 8, states that candidates can now register for this crucial examination from April 9 to April 10.
Initially, the registration process for the NEET UG 2024 entrance exam commenced on February 9, with the deadline set for March 9. However, responding to requests from students nationwide, the agency extended the deadline by a week to March 16. Now, in response to continued demand, the NTA has reopened the application process for a two-day window.
This extension comes as a boon for students who have yet to register for NEET UG 2024. Interested candidates can complete their application by visiting the official website of the examination, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. Upon reaching the website, candidates are required to navigate to the registration link provided on the homepage and proceed to the portal registration page. From there, candidates can register by providing the necessary information and then proceed to complete the examination registration (NEET UG Registration 2024) by logging in with the registered details.
Applicants should be mindful that along with the registration process, they are also required to submit the prescribed examination fee for NEET UG 2024. The fee structure stands at Rs 1700 for the general category, Rs 1600 for General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories, and Rs 1000 for SC/ST/Divyang/Third Gender category candidates.
