NTPC wins 40 MW in UPNEDA’s 500 MW Solar tender

New Delhi, June 26th 2019: India’s largest power generating company NTPC participated in the UPNEDA’s tender for 500 MW Solar capacity with two bids of 20 MW each at Auraiya & Rihand.

The Reverse Auction was carried out today where NTPC has won entire 40 MW of Solar capacity at a levellised tariff of Rs. 3.02/kWh which is applicable for 25 years.

The above projects shall be set up by NTPC under EPC mode and shall add to the installed capacity of NTPC. With this, NTPC has won an aggregate solar capacity of 545 MW under tariff based competitive bidding tenders of States.
