There is a craze among people regarding electric scooters in India. Taking a step in this direction, many automakers have launched their EVs. While some are still waiting in the market. We are constantly bringing news to you about Ola Electric Scooter.

Currently, Ola Chairman and Group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal have posted a tweet along with the teaser of Ola Electric Scooter in which he asked his user what colour they want to get on this scooter. However, he also wrote that you tell any other colour option other than black. Overall, Ola Electric is set to be launched in Black colour.

It is clear from the fact that this scooter is nearing its launch. Agarwal had announced sometime back that they would set up over 1,00,000 charging stations in 400 cities and towns in the country. The company will set up 5,000 charging points as part of this network in the first year.

At the same time, the scooter can be charged in 18 minutes for a range of up to 75 km via a fast charger. This will total 50% of its driving range. This indicates that this new scooter will come with a range of 150 km in a single charge.

The first batch of the scooter will be produced at Ola’s new plant in Tamil Nadu, which is currently under development. In another tweet, Bhavish shared an update about the progress of the Ola plant in Tamil Nadu. In which it has been said to invest Rs 2,400 crore on this production unit. The factory will be able to produce 20 lakh electric two-wheelers per year and will employ around 10,000 people.
