One Nation, One Election: Pune Researcher Sahil Deo Presents Recommendations Before Parliament Panel

Pune, 25th August 2026: A presentation was made before the Joint Committee of Parliament in New Delhi recently on behalf of the Nation First Policy Research and Change Foundation (NFPRC), which includes Pune-based policy researcher Dr. Sahil Deo.

The presentation was regarding the ‘One Nation, One Election’ Bill. Along with Dr. Deo, researchers Ananth Krishna and Monalisa Nanda from NFPRC were also part of the delegation.

Discussions with various stakeholders on the ‘One Nation, One Election’ Bill are currently underway, and a series of important meetings of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the subject were recently concluded. Presentations were made before the committee as part of this process.

Dr. Deo informed that NFPRC presented its recommendations on electoral reforms.The presentation was made in the presence of Joint Parliamentary Committee Chairman P.P. Chaudhary, and MPs Priyanka Gandhi, Supriya Sule, Anurag Thakur, and Manish Tewari, among others.
