OnePlus 13 Set to Compete with Flagships, Launches Soon with Snapdragon 8 Elite and Advanced Features

New Delhi, 4th December 2024: The highly anticipated OnePlus 13 smartphone is set to launch soon in India and globally, as the company begins teasing its release on its India website. This latest flagship device will go head-to-head with other top-tier smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Oppo Find X8 Pro. While key details, including the chipset and design, have already been revealed, OnePlus is expected to release the device in India with features similar to its China variant.

The OnePlus 13 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3nm process. This powerful processor is designed to deliver high performance, making it a strong competitor to Apple’s A18 Pro, especially in multitasking and gaming capabilities.

OnePlus is also introducing a refined design with the OnePlus 13. The device will feature a flat display, a design choice that has been highly requested by users for some time. Additionally, the Midnight Ocean colour variant will feature a vegan leather finish, adding a touch of sophistication to the flagship phone.

The camera setup of the OnePlus 13 will include a triple rear camera system, headlined by a 50MP primary camera. Accompanying this will be a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope camera sensor. All cameras will be tuned in collaboration with Hasselblad, ensuring high-quality imaging and colour accuracy.

In a notable upgrade, the OnePlus 13 will feature the latest ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, offering faster and more reliable biometric authentication compared to the optical fingerprint scanner seen in the OnePlus 12. This technology has previously been incorporated in premium devices like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The OnePlus 13 will also boast a larger battery than its predecessor, the OnePlus 12. Equipped with a 6000mAh battery, it supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. For comparison, the OnePlus 12 offered a 5400mAh battery with the same fast charging capabilities.
