Only Milk selling allowed in these areas of Pune on Wednesday, Thursday; Grocery, Vegetable shops Closed

Pune, April 21, 2020: As the number of Coronavirus Positive cases crossed 700 today, Pune city police have issued to close all essential commodities shops except milk selling in areas from where the most number of patients has been detected.  Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Ravindra Shisve issued the prohibitory order as per section 144 of the CrPC for areas under 10 out of 30 police stations in Pune.

“Additional restrictions have been imposed by the police in areas of the city where the corona is spreading rapidly. There has been a massive jump in the number of COVID19 positive patients in these areas. Only milk outlets will be allowed to open for two hours from 10 am to 12 noon and all other shops (grocery, vegetable and fruit, chicken, mutton, eggs and e-commerce shops and distribution services will be completely closed) on Wednesday (April 22), Thursday (April 23). The shops will remain closed from 6 am Wednesday to Thursday midnight”, the order states.

These additional restrictions will be in areas under jurisdictions of police stations Samarth, Khadak, Faraskhana, Swargate, Bundgarden, Duttawadi, Yerwada, Khadki, Kondhwa and Wanwadi. There is no restriction on milk transport. However, door to door milk delivery and selling of milk at shops is allowed only for two hours between 10 am and noon on these two days. People should maintain social distancing and wear mask, else police will send them home.

Know about areas where there is additional restriction in Pune : All areas under Samarth Police Station; All areas under Khadak Police Station; All areas under Faraskhana Police Station; Swargate Police Station – Gultekdi, Maharshinagar, Dias Plot; Bundgarden Police Station – Tadiwala Road; Duttawadi Police Station – Janata Vasahat, Parvati Darshan, Shiv Darshan; Yerwada Police Station – Lakshminagar, Gadital; Khadki Police Thane- Khadki Bazar, Kasai Mohalla, Patil Estate Slum; All areas under Kondhwa Police Station; Wanwadi Police Station- Vikasnagar, Sayyednagar, Ramtekdi, Ward No. 24, Handewadi, Ward No. 26 & 28

There were 42 new patients  today, taking Pune city’s total number of Coronavirus Positive cases to 708. Corona patients in Pune city are increasing day by day. In the last four days, the number has gone up by 60 to 70 daily. There were 80 new patients in Pune on Sunday. Till now 51 patients have died while 78 have been cured and discharged.
