April 26, 2021: With over 3.5 lakh new cases being recorded daily from across the country, the citizens are battling with the second wave of the Covid-19. Reinforcing its commitment to the community, NoBrokerHOOD – the visitor, society, and payments management app by NoBroker.com – has announced that it will be organizing vaccination drives across societies in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi-NCR. Vaccination at doorstep started with two societies in Bangalore on April 24, 2021 and will continue through the coming months.

Social responsibility is a deeply ingrained principle that guides NoBrokerHOOD’s mission of elevating the residential experience of its users and those around them. The app has added a bundle of security features over the last 8 months to help residents mitigate the risk of infection through contactless entries, contactless payments, contactless chats and forums and a lot more. As a result the app experienced a massive growth over the last year. Accordingly, its latest initiative aims to ramp up the scale of vaccinations being administered against COVID-19 amidst a time of reduced movement.

The vaccines will be administered by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) approved labs with trained medical professionals at the helm while observing high standards of safety and covid protocol at no extra cost. It intends to help society residents get a quick and convenient access to vaccination without visiting  hospitals as a lot of people have been hesitant to go to hospitals considering them to be a hub of infection.

Commenting on this, Akhil Gupta, cofounder and Chief Technology Officer of NoBroker.com said, “NoBrokerHOOD was developed with the idea of elevating the lifestyle of society residents, through a cross between world-class technology, customer-centric thought and service enablement. In the wake of a pandemic, to cater to society residents’ emerging needs, this vaccination drive also aims to make it safe and convenient for society residents to get the vaccination without stepping out and at the same time reduce the burden on medical staff that is already overburdened with the pandemic. The surge in the app’s adoption during the viral outbreak last year gives us a path to use technology for a greater purpose in the ‘new normal.”

Since the novel coronavirus outbreak, NoBrokerHOOD has made it safer for residents in housing societies to function as a part of the community through its society management application. When the first lockdowns were implemented, the app launched a grocery store overnight to help people procure daily essentials. The society management app also offers a Touchless Entry feature that uses facial recognition technology to enable secure and risk-free movement of staff and residents in and out of the building. Other features include an Aarogya Setu-integrated health tracker, which gives micro-level information on visitors coming into a society from containment zones.

A year into the pandemic and the fear surrounding COVID-19 has still not subsided and with the new wave has actually increased it. Previously, NobrokerHOOD rolled out a campaign to do Covid testing for societies integrated with the society management platform. With the availability of a door-to-door vaccine program, there is hope that more people will be administered the vaccine in a shorter period of time, helping ease out the helplessness being experienced in the healthcare sector.
