As part of the measures, three luggage scanning machines are operational for continuous baggage screening. Two dog squads, one each from the RPF and Pune City Police, have been deployed to assist in inspections across platforms and station premises.

According to officials, the RPF has deployed around 85 personnel across three shifts to maintain round-the-clock patrolling at platforms, the railway yard, and surrounding areas. The GRP has stationed approximately 50 personnel, while Pune City Police teams are conducting patrols every two to three hours. The BDDS unit from Pune City Police is also visiting the station at three-hour intervals to carry out precautionary checks.

Security activities include random luggage scanning, surprise bag checks, and continuous public announcements by the RPF urging passengers to stay alert. Additional emphasis is being placed on checks during peak travel hours.
